Training Philosophy
Even dogs of the same breed, same sex, same age, same size, and even from the same litter can be very different from each other. Also, each dog's environment and family situation can be very different. Because of these differences, every dog should be completely evaluated so that a training program can be tailored to the individual dog. There is no charge for this evaluation.
For most dogs, Jim uses a method of training he calls friendly persuasion where treats, toys, praise, and repetition are used to teach a dog a behavior. Once the dog learns the behavior, treats and toys can gradually be phased out and only appropriate praise continues.
